I have a 1977 Honda 550 - Four and I could not find any 4 into 2 that covered the 1977. I called Mac. and the customer service Rep. told me that the 001-0611 would only work through a 1976.
I ordered the 001-0611 and I did install it on a 1977 Honda 550- four without any other modifications.
So contrary to what is advertised or what Mac. indicated, these mufflers will work on a 1977 Honda 550-four.
Easy installation and good sound.
