Stay Seated

They say the Superpole Seat is meant for racing applications. They may be right. I bought it because I thought it looked like it would be good for touring. It seemed to be better cushioned than the wafer that comes with the Ducati Superbike. Overall, it is. However, it's only marginally more comfortable than the OEM seat. It is considerably thicker than the OEM seat, which means you will ride slightly higher (it's negligible though). From the photos, I thought the seat was covered with a fabric. It's not. It's basically all molded rubber, which means you aren't going to be sliding around on this thing. That's not a knock by the way. It is a comfortable ride for the most part. However, the front end of the seat does tend to bunch up ones manly parts. I have to make a conscious effort to scoot back in the seat. One time I rode over a bump in the road, and I thought my manly parts were going to explode (it was not pleasant). It does look much better when compa red to the OEM seat. I've not tried any other seats (Sargeant, Zero Gravity, Corbin), so I don't have much frame of reference. Hope this helps.
