5Huge Improvement!
By Darryl K. Nicholas
I'm a daily rider, year round. I do a lot of distance riding too, and thought I'd get a shield better suited for touring. There was a bit of a learning curve getting it installed, as I had never changed the stock shield before. Once I figured out the details of how it all goes back together, the Vstream shield fit just fine. It is much taller than the stock shield, and it is thick and strong too. My first ride, the next morning was a 600 mile trip, and was I ever happy I made the change! This shield made a big difference in wind exposure! Wind coming over my stock shield hit me mid chest, and now the wind hits me at eyeball level. That really helps keep the chill off! I'm 5'9". The general feeling is one of sitting in still air behind this shield. It's nice! There is some wind noise as the air passes over the helmet, but I had that before the change too.
