4Looks great, fits almost perfectly
By Jeremy L.
First off, despite what Amazon says, this product / model is made for the 2012 Yamaha V-Star 250. Amazon, as of this writing, will tell you that it is not a proper part but if you check the manufacturer website, you'll see that this is the model # for this bike. That being said, I was initially concerned about buying this product because I wasn't sure how well it would fit the styling of the bike. I wanted a luggage rack that did not include or need a "sissy bar" and there are only 2 I could find for this bike.

The finished product looks great and actually on the 2012 model, the style of the luggage rack actually resembles the "Star" emblem on the tank, if that means anything to you. The fact that my bike is black with chrome accents also means that this chrome rack looks really nice on the bike. The rack feels sturdy, being one solid piece and it does appear to be made very well. The holes for the mounts all line up perfectly. The only reason this is no t a 5 star review is because the rack itself has to be "bent" ever so slightly as I tightened down the bolts. If you can imagine, the rack didn't sit flush to the frame mount and was off at a slight angle.

Despite that, overall I think it looks great and it does actually mount to the bike well, and I would recommend this rack to anyone with a V-Star 250.
